Epi 'Hour': Data Visualization with JMP

This Epi ‘Hour’ will be a quick introduction to using JMP software. While JMP has a wide range of statistical analysis types built into the graphical user interface (GUI), the Epi ‘Hour’ will focus on the Graph builder platform in JMP. CiNA public data will be used to demonstrate various graphs including scatterplots, bar charts, line of fit, smoother, and maps.

Dr. John Keighly

Dr Keighley started working with the Kansas Cancer Registry as a Data Analyst in Oct 1995 until Dec 2005 when he finished his Ph.D. in Statistics at Kansas State University. He became faculty in the Dept of Preventive Medicine and worked with KCR 50% effort until June 2007 when he became faculty in the Dept of Biostatistics. He still works with KCR as the data manager but most of his effort is in the Dept of Biostatistics.

Jordan Baker, MS

Statistician

KU Medical Center

Jordan Baker has a MS in Biostatistics and works as a statistician in the Dept of Biostatistics at KU Medical Center. Along with his collaborative work with various departments, he is pursuing a PhD in Biostatistics, where he is focusing on small area estimation and the stability of cancer incidence and mortality rates.
